Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

The data controller for your personal data is Buildev S.A.S., a Colombian company that develops and operates Rentablo:

By creating your account you accept this policy and authorize us to process your data as described here.

2. What data we process

• Your account: name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash, never as plain text) and business type. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email of your Google account.
• Your business: the services and products with their prices, the split percentages, the currency and the travel fee you set up.
• Sales and appointments: date, client, services, amounts charged, tips, travel fees, notes and the calculated split.
• Your business's clients: the ones you choose to register, with their name and, if you add them, phone number and birthday (day and month).
• Google Calendar (optional): the email of the Google account you connect and an encrypted access permission.
• Rentablo Premium payments: for each payment we keep the reference, the plan, the amount, the dates, the payment method (for example, card or PSE) and its status. If you ask for the electronic invoice in your name, we also keep the details you give us for it: ID type and number, name or company name, email and address. If you don't, the invoice is issued to “Final consumer” and we only use your account email to send it to you. Your card or bank account details are received and processed by Bold: Rentablo never sees them.
• Stamp card (Premium): your business name, your name and your email to create your card; for the clients you invite, their name and mobile number; and for their purchases, the date, the amount (without tips or travel fees) and the services or products, to add up their stamps.
• Advertising: your phone's advertising ID (Android) or Google cookies (web app) and the technical data Google AdMob and Google AdSense use to show ads (see "Advertising").
• Technical data: server logs needed to operate and protect the service.
• On your phone or browser: your session, in the device's secure storage (in the web app, in your browser's storage), and your appearance preferences.

The app does not ask for permission to access your contacts, photos or location.

3. What we use it for

• Providing the service: saving your sales, calculating the split, showing statistics and reports, and booking your appointments.
• Sending you the emails your account needs, such as the code to recover your password.
• Publishing your appointments to Google Calendar, if you connect your account.
• Charging for Rentablo Premium, issuing the electronic invoice for each payment and reminding you before it ends.
• Giving your clients their stamp card and adding up their stamps, if you turn it on.
• Showing the ads that keep the app free.
• Keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and meeting legal obligations.

We don't sell your data, and your business information (sales, clients, appointments and account) is never used for advertising.

4. Your clients' data

When you register data about your clients, you are responsible for that data towards them and must have their authorization. Buildev S.A.S. acts as a processor: it stores and processes that data only to provide the service to you, does not use it for anything else and never shares it with other Rentablo users.

If you have Premium and turn on the stamp card, the name and mobile number of the clients you invite, and what they buy from you, are sent to Loyenta, another Buildev S.A.S. platform, which gives them their card and keeps track of their stamps and rewards. Only invite clients who agree to it. If you delete your account, we close your stamp card and Loyenta erases your clients' data.

5. Google information

Optionally, you can sign in with Google and connect Google Calendar. In that case Rentablo only accesses:

• Your basic profile (name and email), to identify your account.
• A calendar created by the app (calendar.app.created scope): Rentablo creates a "Rentablo · your name" calendar in your account and can only view, create, update and delete events in that calendar, where it publishes your appointments with the client, the services, the estimated total and the notes. It has no access to your main calendar or any other.

Rentablo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is only seen by people when necessary to give you support with your consent, or for security or legal reasons.

You can revoke access to Google Calendar at any time from the app (Settings → Google Calendar → Disconnect), or from your Google account permissions. When you disconnect, we delete the stored credential. If you delete your account, we also delete the events Rentablo created in your calendar.

6. Advertising

Rentablo is free and is supported by Google ads, which we show discreetly inside the app and only after you sign in: Google AdMob on Android and Google AdSense in the web app. To show them, limit how often you see the same one and measure how they perform, Google and its advertising partners may collect your phone's advertising ID or use cookies in your browser, your IP address and data about how you interact with the ads, under Google's advertising policy. While your Rentablo Premium is active, we show you no ads.

Your sales, clients, appointments and account data are never shared with advertisers. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or a U.S. state that requires it, we ask for your consent, or give you the option to opt out, through Google's privacy message before showing ads, and you can change your choice in Settings → "Ad privacy". On Android you can also delete or reset your advertising ID, or ask that it not be used for personalized ads, in your phone settings, under "Ads". On any device you can choose whether Google shows you personalized ads in My Ad Center.

7. Who we share data with

Only with providers needed to operate the service, under confidentiality obligations:

• The provider of the servers where the app and the database run.
• Google, if you sign in with Google or connect Google Calendar, and to send the app's emails.
• Google AdMob and Google AdSense, which show the ads in the Android app and in the web app.
• Google Fonts, from which the app downloads the optional fonts you choose in the appearance settings.
• Bold, which processes Rentablo Premium payments and handles payment data under its own policy.
• The DIAN (Colombia's tax authority), to which we send each Rentablo Premium electronic invoice as the law requires: with the billing details you gave us or, if you didn't give any, to “Final consumer” with your account email.
• Loyenta, another Buildev S.A.S. platform, if you turn on the stamp card (see "Your clients' data").

Some of these providers, such as Google, process data outside Colombia. We may also hand over data when a competent authority requires it under the law.

8. Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account from the app, your data is deleted immediately; if you request it by email, we delete it within a maximum of 15 business days. More details in delete your account.

The exception is Rentablo Premium payments: their record (reference, plan, amount, dates and the account's email) and their invoices are kept even if you delete your account, for as long as the law requires accounting records to be kept.

We apply reasonable technical measures: all communication is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored as secure hashes, Google access is stored encrypted, and password recovery codes expire after 15 minutes. Each account can only see its own data.

9. Your rights and how to exercise them

As the owner of your data, you have the right to:

• Know, update and correct your data.
• Ask for proof of the authorization you gave us.
• Know how we have used it.
• Revoke your authorization and ask us to delete your data.
• Access your data free of charge.
• File complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio).

You can do many of these things yourself in the app: edit your profile, change your password or delete your account. For anything else, email us at soporte@buildev.co from your account's email address. We answer inquiries within a maximum of 10 business days and complaints within a maximum of 15 business days, as required by law.

10. Minors, website and changes

Rentablo is intended for adults who run a business; we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

This website does not use cookies or analytics tools; it only remembers in your browser whether you chose the light or dark theme. The web app (rentablo.buildev.co/app) doesn't use its own cookies either: it stores your session and preferences in your browser's storage. If you sign in with Google, and once you are signed in and ads are shown (see "Advertising"), Google applies its own cookies under its policy.

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this same page with its date. This version is effective as of November 5, 2026.
